Volunteer: Coursing Facilitator - Check-in and Field Flow

Help our keep our popular lure coursing events running smoothly and on time!  You’ll welcome participants at check-in and help keep the field moving and on schedule.What you’ll do:   Greet and check in participants. Help coordinate field on/off times to keep things moving. New to lure coursing? No problem—our experienced volunteers will be right there to coach and support you. It’s a fast, exciting sport where dogs chase a mechanized lure across the field—fun to watch and full of tail wags. Volunteer: Assist with AKC Canine Good Citizen Title Evaluations


We need 3 volunteers total to help us:1 volunteer will help us to greet and direct people 2 volunteers will assist with the Evaluation by participating in scenarios designed to replicate real-world encounters.  All 3 volunteers will form our "crowd" for the Evaluation. Evaluation scenarios include the dog and handler walking through a crowd of people, the dog accepting a stranger, sitting politely for a stranger, and performing tasks during distractions. This is an important step in a working or pet dog's training journey!  We appreciate your help!
