Volunteer: P/C: Leander Public Library Reading Dog Visits!

Non-judgmental reading dogs are a powerful tool in improving reading skills. Therapy Dog team will visit the Leander Public Library one day each week for 2 hours. The Librarian will schedule 15-20 minute sessions for each child to read with the Therapy Dog team.

Westbank Library has invited one complex team for Storytime!  The team or a librarian will read stories aloud to a group of young children. Storytime is an activity designed to promote early literacy, foster a love for reading, and engage children with books through interactive activities such as having a dog there too for pets and fun! Roxanna hosts Baby Storytime, All-Ages Storytime and Preschool Play. When the team is confirmed,they are happy to pull suggested books for Storytime and can step in to share reading responsibilities if the team prefers not to.Location: 1309 Westbank Drive, Austin, 78746Point Of Contact: Roxanna Macaraeg (512) 327-3045

Volunteer in your community by sharing your dog with people in a hospital setting.

Bow Wow Therapy Dog Team will visit with clients at the facility on an as-needed basis

Bow Wow Therapy Dog team must be Qualified as Complex or Complex Plus.  Please note, Volunteers must fill out the St. David’s Volunteer Application and be approved through their process prior to first visit.
