'Twas the weeks before Christmas, when all through Austin...The Amazon Elves are stirring, getting ready to deliver a million boxes!
We have an exciting Holiday Volunteering Opportunity at Amazon Warehouse in Pflugerville! Complex Therapy Teams will be greeting the dedicated Amazon employees who work tirelessly 24/7 to deliver holiday packages. Your pet therapy visits will help make their days a little easier and will bring smiles to their faces during the busiest time of the year.
Shifts are flexible throughout December, any day of the week 6:30am - 7:30am. Please email sarah@thedogalliance.org if you would like to add a date to the list!
Amazon has been kind enough to offer goody bags to Teams that volunteer in addition to a very generous donation of in-kind gifts to the Dog Alliance!
After you sign up for this Opportunity, you will be asked to complete the WELCOME process (link to be provided) which asks that you complete some information and can be cleared to access the building.
Location: 2000 E Pecan St, Pflugerville, TX 78660
Parking: There are plenty of entrances and parking spaces in the front of the building (which faces Pecan Street).
Arrival Instructions:. After parking, use the entrance that is marked “main entrance” and has the large amazon smile over the doorways. Upon entering, I will be there to greet you and provide the visitor badges you’ll need to go through our security entrance

Fun Facts about this warehouse:
- The warehouse spans over 3.7 million square feet – one of the largest Amazon warehouses in the country!
- This is an AR (Amazon Robotics) site so they have robotics at AUS2 that are used to expedite processing of orders.
- There is over 800,000 sq feet of space on the 1st floor of the site and over 64 miles of conveyance on site.
- They've had 3 baby bats in the site at different times and have to contact a local Bat Rescue to come and assist!
