Joe Lee Johnson Elementary (RRISD) - Title 1 - Bow Wow Reading Dog Visits

Non-judgmental reading dogs are a powerful tool in improving reading skills.

Two (2) Bow Wow Therapy Dog teams will visit Joe Lee Johnson Elementary School one day each week for 2 hours. The Librarian will schedule 15-20 minute sessions for each child to read with the Bow Wow Therapy Dog teams.

Two teams will visit the school simultaneously in the library. Librarian will provide space for each therapy dog team on either side of the large library. Teams will avoid interactions with another dog team during the visits.
