Help our potential Therapy Teams practice for Evaluations!
Volunteers will participate in scenarios designed to replicate real-world encounters for a therapy dog team.
These scenarios include the dog and handler walking through a crowd of people, a group of people all petting the dog at the same time, and distractions such as a "staggering" person, wearing hats, creating loud noises, and using mobility aids (walker, wheelchair).
Your participation in Therapy dog team training is a great contribution to ensuring all of the Dog Alliance therapy teams have the appropriate skills and temperament for visiting in the community.
You will feel good for doing good!
